Full Professor of Criminal Procedure at the University of Brescia and a practising attorney. He collaborates with the firm as a Scientific Advisor, providing counsel to major Italian and international companies, particularly in relation to complex criminal proceedings, corporate criminal law, and defence strategy. Recognised for his extensive expertise in the analysis of procedural issues.

Full Professor of Comparative Law at the University of Genoa and Professor of Public Law at the Bocconi University in Milan. He is authorised to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation and the higher courts and is the founding partner of the Cuocolo law firm.
He serves the firm as Of Counsel, providing strategic advice to companies, corporate groups, and public entities on matters relating to governance, regulation, compliance and dealings with the authorities.

Previously, he served as Professor of Criminal Procedure and Penitentiary Law at the University of Trieste. In his capacity as a lawyer, he collaborates with the firm as Of Counsel by providing legal advice and representation in criminal law matters, with a particular focus on corporate criminal law and corporate liability. He also conducts applied research in the fields of criminal procedure and penitentiary law.

Martina Cagossi has been working with the firm for over fifteen years and has been a member of the Milan Bar since 2013. She has gained significant experience in advising and representing international clients, particularly in the areas of tax criminal law, corporate criminal law, and administrative liability of entities under Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
She graduated with honours in Penitentiary Law from the University of Milan in 2010 and completed the School of Specialisation for Legal Professions at the same university. She is a teaching assistant in criminal procedure at the University of Milan and previously held the same position at Roma Tre University. She has also worked as a research fellow on a European Commission-funded project.
She is co-founder and Program Manager of the Italy Innocence Project and a member of the organising committee of the Criminal Justice Festival.
She is a member of the Milan Criminal Bar Association.

Pietro Zaramella has been working with the firm for more than ten years. He specialises in judicial and extrajudicial assistance for individuals and companies involved in proceedings concerning crimes against the Public Administration and corporate, tax and bankruptcy offences. He has gained significant experience in assisting major international groups in relation to preventive measures ordered by the Court of Milan and investigations concerning alleged tax offences. He has taken part in criminal proceedings arising from trade union disputes and relating to alleged cases of unlawful labour exploitation (so-called “caporalato”). He provides advice on the drafting of Organisation, Management and Control Models pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001, as well as support to the Supervisory Bodies of various companies. He has also been involved in the development of prevention models and sports governance models for major football clubs.

Veronica Porati has been working at the Firm since 2014 and was admitted to the Bar of the Court of Milan in 2015. She mainly deals with corporate criminal law, with a particular focus on tax criminal law, bankruptcy offences, and negligent offences related to violations of occupational health and safety provisions.
She assists companies and individuals at all stages of criminal proceedings, providing support in judicial matters and in the development of defence strategies related to the criminal risk profiles of business activities. She also provides extrajudicial advisory services, assisting companies and serving on various Supervisory Bodies.

Giorgia Cesana has been working with firm since 2015 and was admitted to the Bar of the Court of Milan in 2018. She practices corporate criminal law, with a particular focus on corporate liability pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001. One of her main activities is the provision of advice on the drafting, implementation, and updating of Organisation, Management and Control Models pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001. She also advises on Safeguarding Models and matters relating to sports offences. She also provides ongoing support to companies by serving on numerous Supervisory Bodies.
She has gained significant experience in the field of tax criminal law, also contributing to the defence of several companies subject to preventive measures.

Alessandra Tramontelli graduated with full marks in Law from the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan (2019).
She was admitted to the Bar in 2022 after passing the State Examination at the Court of Appeal of Milan with a score of 210/210, for which she was awarded the Marco Ubertini scholarship.
Alessandra began collaborating with the firm following a previous experience at a well-known boutique law firm in Milan. She mainly focuses on business criminal law, assisting and defending both individuals and companies in judicial proceedings.
Her main areas of activity also include advising on the drafting, implementation and updating of Organisational, Management and Control Models pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001.

In July 2024, she obtained a PhD in Criminal Procedure from the Department of Legal Science “Cesare Beccaria” at the University of Milan. Between August and December of 2023, she was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School in New York. In 2022, she obtained the qualification to practice law. She practices corporate criminal law and provides legal assistance primarily in the field of compliance and the administrative liability of companies and entities, in which she has gained significant experience.

Maria Elena Santucci obtained her Master’s Degree in Law with full marks and honours in January 2022, defending a thesis entitled “L’ordine europeo di indagine” (The European investigation order).
In 2026, She obtained a PhD in Criminal Procedure from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, where she conducted research on “Il domicilio informatico e la tutela dei nuovi diritti della persona” (The digital domicile and the protection of new individual rights).
Authorised to practice law since 2024, Maria works in the area of criminal law, having gained particular experience in corporate criminal law. She provides assistance and advice to individuals and companies, handling cases from the preliminary investigation stage through to trial proceedings.

Viola Maddalena Ferrari graduated in Law from La Sapienza University in Rome (magna cum laude), as well as from the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), where she obtained a first- and second-level Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.
She is studying for a PhD in Corporate Criminal Law under a joint supervision programme between the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and the University of Brescia.
